We are a vibrant, family-friendly, kid-friendly church in north Johnson City that rejoices in the supremacy and  sovereignty of God in all things. We emphasize expository preaching and teaching, along with Scripture-saturated worship in spirit. We embrace the verse-by-verse study of God's Word and vibrant, acoustic worship using the best of old and new songs that contain theologially rich lyrics.  Our hope is that you would join us in seeking your true joy and satisfaction in Jesus Christ and in all that God promises us through His Son.

At Highland, the Word of God is the foundation and central focus of everything that we believe and do. As such, we strive to faithfully preach the Word, teach the Word, pray the Word, sing the Word, and speak the Word to one another. 

We hold to the Five Solas of the Reformation: Scripture alone is infallible and teaches that we are saved because of God’s grace alone on the basis of the righteousness of Christ alone, through the means of faith alone, and all things are for the glory of God alone.  We agree with and affirm the historic teachings of the church as found in the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed. 

We desire that God would grant repentance and faith to all people everywhere, and then sanctify them by His Word.  We strive to minister to the entire family with solid teaching and discipleship for all ages.
